‘Houston Idol’ casts city’s best amateur singers in huge TV contest


Locals who have aspirations of being on the Simon Cowell-less reboot of American Idol might want to head to Main Event on Wednesday, August 28. The entertainment center will be hosting “Houston Idol” at its Humble location, at 20945 Spring Creek Crossing. There will be three rounds, with the first starting at 9 am. The first 500 people in line will get a wristband, giving them access to the first round of the singing competition….
