Discovery Green’s dreamy new interactive exhibit sends you to the moon


To paraphrase Van Morrison, it’s a marvelous night for a moonGARDEN. It’s s a new exhibit that premieres this September 29, courtesy of Discovery Green and Houston First Corporation. Designed by Montreal art collective Lucion Traveling Light of Montreal, moonGARDEN is a series of 22 illuminated spheres — ranging in size from six to 30 feet in diameter — that will transform the park into a magical moonscape. Here is when HISD will resume classes for the 2020-2021 school year

The wait is over for Houston parents, as the Houston Independent School District released its highly anticipated 2020-2021 schedule on Wednesday, July 15. Classes will start virtually on September 8, according to a letter sent to parents. The virtual instruction for all students will continue for six weeks through Friday, October 16.
