Another one bites the dust: Neighborhood restaurant serves last meal


Another Houston restaurant has suddenly closed. Montrose neighborhood spot Lowbrow served its last meal on Sunday, owner Chris Ray tells CultureMap. Ray and then-partner chef John Sheely leased the space from Creek Group owner Gary Mosley in June with the goal of providing the neighborhood with a casual restaurant that also incorporated some elements of Sheely’s former restaurants Mockingbird Bistro and Osteria Mazzantini.
